Project Ecovillage
By combining green technology, sustainable building, sustainable lifestyles and sustainable agriculture we can create a model village and provide the soft and hard skill training needed to thrive in and maintain the Ecovillage. Director Matt Grate brings to this project expertise in sustainable agriculture as well as many years of research into the homeless problem in America and the poverty problem across our planet. It is not our desire to enable, but rather to empower those most destitute in our societies to receive a hand up in a sustainable fashion.
The first step to creating the model Ecovillage is the sustainable research farm that A FAB World is working on in 2012. The first 3 projects of the Research Farm are:
Soil Fertility and the missing link to human health
Small Scale Biogas production
Power and Water tower which will combine elevated water storage, solar and wind power into 1 tower
The Research Farm will eventually become a full functioning off grid farm that tests and demonstrates different aspects of the Ecovillage.
AFABWorld is proud to sponsor the
Thurston County Amateur BBQ Cook Off
This event will offer the amateur grillers and pitmasters the opportunity to compete for trophies, recognition and bragging rights.
For the last two years, AFABWorld has sponsored professional BarBQ competitions in Thurston County.
This year it is the amateurs turn to shine.
If you have a secret grilling recipe, mad grilling skills or just love to grill, come out and show your friends and neighbors what you can do!
